Family Callitrichidae
 Red-handed Tamarin
The family Callitrichidae represents 21 species of marmosets and tamarins. All are native to the northern half of South America, with most living in the tropical rain forests. Many species have a colorful coat, mustaches, or manes. The smallest is the Pygmy marmoset (4 ounces) and the largest is the Lion tamarin (22 ounces). Most have claws rather than nails, and all have long tails and a short snout.
