Order Passeriformes
 American Blackbirds (1)
The order Passeriformes is by far the most successful group of birds on earth. They account for about 5,100 species, compared with 3,500 species in all the other orders combined. They can be found on all continents and islands, except for Antarctica. Passerines, or perching birds, have three toes facing forward and one facing backward, allowing the bird to grasp branches for perching.
