Order Perissodactyla
 Horses & Zebras (1) Rhinoceroses (2)
The odd-toed ungulates (hoofed mammals) are probably most famous for the horse, largely because of the way humans have domesticated them over the years. However, this order contains animals that are not typically considered as relatives to the horse. Rarely would anyone look at a rhinoceros or tapir and be reminded of a powerful stallion galloping through the plains. However, the two are closely related. This order contains 3 families and 16 species. Three other families are now extinct.
